the foundation for our faith

what we believe

GOD THE FATHER

We believe there is only one true God, Creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:1 / Genesis 2:7 / Genesis 3:22 / Exodus 3:14 / Deuteronomy 6:4 / Psalm 19:1-3 / Psalm 90:2 / Isaiah 43:3 / Matthew 28:19 / 2 Corinthians 13:14

JESUS

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ voluntarily left the glories of Heaven, taking upon Himself full and perfect humanity in His Incarnation. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin by dying on a cross.

Isaiah 7:14 / Isaiah 53:1-12 / Matthew 1:18-23 / John 1:1-18, 29 / John 10:30 / Acts 1:9-11 / Romans 1:3-4 / 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 / Philippians 2:5-11 / Hebrews 1:1-3 / Revelation 5:9-14

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit permanently indwells all believers, fulfilling His regenerating work of new birth resulting in eternal life.

Genesis 1:2 / Joel 2:28-32 / Matthew 1:18 / Mark 1:10 / John 4:26 / Acts 1:8 / Romans 8:9-11 / 1 Corinthians 3:16 / 1 John 4:13

THE BIBLE

We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments comprise the canon of Scripture. The Bible is true, sufficient, and the sole authority of our faith and practice.

Deuteronomy 4:1-2 / Psalm 119:11, 105 / Matthew 5:17-18 / 2 Timothy 3:15-17 / Hebrews 4:12 / 1 Peter 1:25 / 2 Peter 1:20-21

HUMANITY

We believe God created humans, both male and female, in His perfect image. Although God designed us to have fellowship with Him, we became alienated from God through sin.

Genesis 1:26-27 / Psalm 8:3-6 / Isaiah 53:6 / Jeremiah 17:5 / Matthew 16:26 / Acts 17:26-31 / Romans 3:10-18, 23 / Colossians 1:21-22

SALVATION

We believe salvation comes only through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No person can atone for sin through self-improvement or good works. Salvation is free, given solely on the basis of God’s grace through faith in Jesus.

Exodus 6:2-8 / Matthew 1:21 / John 3:16-17 / Acts 4:12 / Romans 1:16-18 / Romans 6:23 / 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 / Ephesians 2:8-9 / Hebrews 2:3

ETERNAL SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER

We believe our true salvation, provided by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone, is eternally secure. It is imperishable and no man or circumstance can snatch us out of the powerful hand of God because Jesus Christ has made an everlasting covenant with us.

2 Samuel 23:5 / John 3:36 / John 5:24 / John 10:28 / John 14:6, 2 / 2 Timothy 1:12 / Hebrews 7:25/ 1 Peter 1:4 / 1 john 5:11-13

MARRIAGE

We uphold the holy institution of marriage as exclusively between one man and one woman, rooted as it is in God’s creation of man and woman in His image, and in the relationship between Christ and His Church.

Genesis 1:26-27 / Genesis 2:18-25 / 1 Corinthians 6:18 / Ephesians 5:22-32
