    Missions

    Why Missions?

The Greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:37-38) is the very purpose for which Cedarcrest exists, to “Love God and Love People.” Missions’ puts the love that we experience from God into action on behalf of others. In so doing, it transforms our own lives as we learn to trust God as well as the lives of others as they experience God’s love for them through us.

    What does Missions look like?

People, individually and collectively, using their God given gifts, talents, resources and experiences to help our next door neighbors, our community, and others locally and globally. We do this by building relationships and trust with others, exposing them to God’s love for them and in God’s timing sharing with the proof of His great love for them (John 3:16-17).

    Who is Missions for?

EVERYONE! Missions is more than something we do once a year by going on a trip, or by giving money, food or clothing to the poor. It is a lifestyle that we are to live out everyday of our lives, by loving others through practical ways and sharing with them what God has done in our lives.

Cedarcrest’s Commitment to Mission Trip participants: Cedarcrest pays one-half of the cost of a mission trip for participants on all student trips. For all other trips, Cedarcrest pays for half of the cost of your first mission trip with Cedarcrest.
