Sundays 8:30, 10 and 11:30 - The CedarcrestKids Nursery is a loving and fun environment designed to care for and nurture children birth-two years of age. Because we know children develop differently, we place them in a developmentally appropriate classroom. Children will begin in our Cuddlers room and from there, when they start crawling, will move to the Crawlers room. Once they become a strong walker they will move to our Mighty Walkers room. At 2 years of age, as of Sept. 1st, they will graduate to our two year old class.
The curriculum we use for the Mighty Walkers and the Two’s class is called First Look. It teaches children 3 basic truths:
- God Made Me.
- God Loves Me.
- Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever.
3 Years - 5th Grade
Elevate & Elevate Jr. Children’s church
Sundays 10:00 and 11:30 - Elevate and Elevate Jr. is taking kids to new heights in their walk with God. The theme based lessons immerse children into a world of solid biblical teaching that is creative and fun. Elevate and Elevate Jr. is designed to develop joy, hope, wonder, excitement and a love for Jesus Christ into the hearts and minds of each child. Our desire is to make it the best hour of a kid’s week. Children are placed in Elevate Jr. by their age as of September 1st.
The Road - 5th Grade
Sundays 10:00 - All 5th graders meet together to experience life and learn how to bring God’s Word into their everyday lives. Their time begins with interactive games and then goes into Bible lessons that connect and fit in a pre-teens world. Small group time with boys and girls helps them to really make the connection they need.
Elevate Jr.2 and Elevate2
Sundays 8:30 - We have a special place for your children. Elevate Jr.2 and Elevate2 are fun-filled environments designed for children, 3 years old-5th grade. During this fun-filled hour children will go deeper into the current lesson being taught in Elevate Jr. and Elevate.
The class is divided into two dynamic segments, teaching time and free time. Teaching Time utilizes games, crafts and memorization to help the children dive deeper into God’s Word. Free Time provides an environment for children to interact and develop strong friendships at church.
E2 For children of volunteers
Sundays 10 and 11:30 - Only for Children of volunteers. All other children will attend Elevate or Elevate Jr.
God’s Team - When your child becomes a new Christian
God’s Team is a two week class where children, 1st – 5th graders, who have accepted Christ as their personal savior, can discover, learn, and explore the basics of Christianity. In God’s Team, children will learn how to be a good team member now that they have joined the greatest team of all.
The Team Goals that will be taught to help each child develop into a great player are the following:
- Discover what it means to be a Christian
- The importance of a relationship with God
- Recognizing the need for reading the bible, praying, and attending church
- Sharing our faith with others
- Baptism; why we do it and why its important to follow
- What the Lord’s Supper represents
Because these principles are so important for a child to understand, God’s Team is a required class before they are baptized. God’s Team is offered 3 times a year. A children’s baptism service will be held once the class is over. We want kids to remember this special day as they join God’s Team and we invite friends and family to attend to cheer them on.
